At Underpinning, we provide chemical underpinning for homes and commercial premises suffering from sinking foundations, concrete cracks and more. We work with our partners, Alchatek, and use their premier structural foams to deliver permanent foundation repair solutions that are more structurally sound than crystalline bedrock. Our products are NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certified, including AP Soil 600, AP Fill 700, AP Fill 720, AP Lift 430, and AP Lift 475. The certification ensures the safety of drinking water and is environmentally friendly, granting peace of mind to the customers.
Chemical underpinning is also referred to as polyurethane underpinning. It is a two-part resin injected under the affected area of a slab. This resin quickly expands, filling in soil voids to create a firm, dense base that will not continue to sink. That is followed by injecting more resin to help bring the property back up to grade or close to it, restoring the home to an almost new look. products are NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certified, including AP Soil 600, AP Fill 700, AP Fill 720, AP Lift 430, and AP Lift 475. A low-viscosity polyurethane liquid is injected into the ground, which reacts and forms foam. The foam fills up the air and water pockets in the soil. This process gains the strength of the soil, increases load capacity, and stabilises structures settled over weak soil conditions.

A professional site investigation will be conducted that will identify the cause of subsidence and cracking. If necessary, we carry out a soil test to ascertain the soil profile. With new technology, we monitor site moisture and the extent of subsidence under your property.
We deliver a tailor-made rectification solution, complete with pinpoint accuracy for injection sites. We make sure by using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) that we don't damage existing services while scanning these sites. Once injection points are confirmed, we drill 16 mm holes approximately 1500 mm deep and insert ports for the chemical underpinning process. The lift process is monitored using survey equipment to ensure adequate lift. On completion of the injection, rods are cut and holes regrouted.
We clean the site and complete any additional rectification works, ensuring a pristine finish.
