Our professional screw piling service uses screw piles that are solid, durable, and environmentally friendly. These characteristics make them the perfect solution for soft, unpredictable, or uneven soil conditions. Screw foundations are created using helical screw piers to transfer the structural load to deeper, more stable layers of soil. This results in more stable building foundations.
In comparison to standard building foundations, screw piling, or, screw foundations offer a host of benefits:
Underpinning screw piles optimise productivity and minimise expenses on a project for residential construction requirements. Being recognised as the fastest among all the piling installations, screw piles allow concrete to be poured above the piles on the same day.
Even minor footing deflections in luxury residential projects can impact the structure’s performance. Our screw piles will minimise or eliminate settlement, ensuring structural integrity is maintained, particularly for waterfront developments where the support level is much deeper and needed to avoid settlement beside waterways.
Underpinning’s screw piers are appropriate for several commercial applications. They can be loaded up to 30 tonnes, and the length is adjustable to any size; hence, they have many uses for various projects. Screw piles are considerably more cost-effective than using conventional piling rigs because site establishment and operation are less expensive.
It’s a vibration-free piling system handy for a commercial site surrounded by sensitive structures because it reduces the chances of damage that leads to litigation.
We begin by preparing the ground and excavating the foundations. The screw piles are located and screwed in place, then pile "headstock" is concreted.
The house is jacked to the desired height, and all foundation is concreted solid to this new level, locking it tight into the screw piles.
When concrete has set, we double-check house and foundation levels, remove all equipment, and clean the site. An exit meeting ensures that you are satisfied with the work carried out.
Underpinning has a proactive approach to the long-term problem of failing Sea Walls and Retaining Walls. We have researched, trialed, and invested heavily in providing the latest technologies in revetment wall repairs and believe our construction techniques will lead to a fresh cost-effective solution to this looming problem.
